Boomshanka will be performing at Razor Stilletto next weekend. Ralph Razor and the Ralphettes will be hosting an Arabian Night on Saturday 1st September at DQ, on Fitzwilliam Street, Sheffield. Boomshanka are proud to be performing at the event. Please come and support us there!

New Beginners Class

Ruth will be teaching a new class for beginners on Wednesdays. Thanks to all those who have waited so patiently for this. The class will start in September and those on the waiting list will be invited to join (keep an eye on your email). Crisis at the room

Vandals broke in and stole the copper pipes causing a gas leak. The room is unusable and the council will not be helping Heeley Development Trust to fix the place. Therefore, there will be no Belly Dance classes in July. We will be moving back to Sharrow Community Forum on Thursday 2nd August. The time of classes will have to be changed. We will keep you posted.

Heeley Festival

On Saturday the sun came out for a great performance from the Troupe and the Beginners at Heeley Festival. We had prepared to dance in wellington boots after nearly a week of rain! But the lucky dancers kicked off their shoes and put on a good show for the welcoming crowd. After the first set, the Troupe were asked to perform again and then they led a congo around the field! The things we do for fun huh! Thanks to everyone who was there to support us and a big thanks to all the dancers...you were great.

The next chance to see Boomshanka perform locally is at Ruskin Park Fun Day in Walkley.

Beat Herder Festival

Boomshanka are hitting the big-time!!! We have been invited to perform at the Beat Herder Festival in Lancashire. We will be welcoming festival goers as it opens at 5pm on Friday 29th June and will be seen on the main stage during the evening. The Troupe can't wait! Get your tickets now...
